Minoqtopus (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a memory capsule app for iOS and Android. You can save messages, photos, and other moments, lock them for a future date, share rooms with friends, keep a journal, and use optional Premium features.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Minoqtopus, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Minoqtopus is operated from Pakistan.

2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the app and the features you choose to use.
Account and profile
- Name, email, and profile photo from Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In
- Profile details you add, such as display name, bio, and cover image
- Account identifiers needed to keep you signed in
Content you create
- Memories, capsules, journal pages, comments, and room activity
- Photos, videos, voice notes, documents, and other files you upload
- Dates, titles, captions, and privacy settings you choose
- Location tags if you add a place to a memory or capsule
- Calendar events if you save unlock dates to your device calendar
Device permissions you may grant
These are optional and used only for the related feature:
- Camera and photo library for profile, covers, and capsule media
- Microphone for voice notes and journal dictation
- Speech recognition to convert speech to text in journal pages
- Contacts to find friends already on Minoqtopus
- Location to tag memories and capsules with places
- Calendar to save capsule unlock dates
- Motion data to support in-app animations
You can turn these off in your device settings. Some features will not work without them.
Usage, purchases, and support
- App activity needed to provide streaks, levels, missions, ranking, reminders, and statistics
- Purchase and subscription status for Premium, coins, XP, and artifacts
- Device and app information needed to keep the service working, such as app version and platform
- Advertising interactions, such as when you start or complete a rewarded ad, so rewards are granted correctly

We do not sell your personal memories or personal information.
AI companion conversations
When you use the AI chat companion or AI chat support, your conversation is used only to respond to you during that chat. These conversations are not shared with other people, cannot be viewed by Minoqtopus admins, and are not stored by Minoqtopus.
3. How we use information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Store, lock, unlock, and display your memories and rooms
- Let you invite or find friends, share rooms, and set privacy on content
- Process Premium subscriptions, coin packs, and in-app purchases
- Provide an AI chat companion and AI chat support when you choose to start a conversation
- Show progress such as streaks, levels, rewards, and ranking
- Send in-app notices, unlock reminders, and support replies
- Improve the app, fix issues, and keep it secure
- Follow applicable law in Pakistan and respond to lawful requests
4. Legal bases
We process information because:
- It is needed to provide the app you asked for
- You gave permission for optional features such as contacts, location, camera, or microphone
- It is needed for purchases, security, and legal compliance
- It helps us operate and improve the service in a way that does not override your rights
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run Minoqtopus:
- Other users, when you make content public, share a room, invite friends, or appear on ranking features you use
- Infrastructure providers that store accounts, content, and files
- Sign-in providers (Google and Apple) when you choose those login methods
- Payment providers (Apple, Google, and RevenueCat) for subscriptions and coin purchases
- Ad networks (Google AdMob) to show ads in the app and, where permitted, personalize them
- AI processing, only to generate a response during an AI companion conversation; Minoqtopus does not store these chats or make them available to admins
- Authorities if required by Pakistani law or a valid legal process
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your private locked capsules with other users unless you choose a sharing feature.
6. Third-party services
Minoqtopus uses trusted providers to operate:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage
- Google for Sign-In
- Apple for Sign-In and App Store purchases
- Google Play for Android purchases
- RevenueCat for subscription and purchase status
- Google AdMob for advertising, including optional rewarded ads
- Google Gemini for optional AI features
Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google. We do not receive your full card number.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Minoqtopus is a mobile app. We do not use website advertising cookies in the app.
For advertising, Google AdMob may use device advertising identifiers and similar technologies as described in Google's own policies. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings.
We may use local device storage, session tokens, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, and make the app work. If you later use a Minoqtopus website, that site may use cookies needed for hosting, security, or basic analytics.
8. Data storage and international transfer
Your information is stored on secure servers operated by our service providers. Those servers may be outside Pakistan.
When data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps so it is still protected. By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed in other countries where our providers operate.
9. How long we keep data
We keep account and content data while your account is active.
If you delete content in the app, we remove it from active use. Backup copies may remain for a short period until they are overwritten.
If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer needed, unless Pakistani law requires us to keep it longer (for example, purchase or fraud records).
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including account authentication and access controls.
No method of storage or transmission is fully secure. Please keep your device and login details safe. Tell us at muhammadhasaanwork@gmail.com if you think your account was accessed without permission.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on the app and applicable law, you may:
- Review and update profile details in the app
- Change privacy settings on memories, capsules, and rooms
- Turn device permissions on or off
- Manage, restore, or cancel purchases through Apple or Google
- Export data where the app provides that option
- Delete content or delete your account in the app
You may also email muhammadhasaanwork@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.
We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.
12. Children’s privacy
Minoqtopus is not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email muhammadhasaanwork@gmail.com and we will delete that account and related data.
13. Premium, coins, and payments
Premium subscriptions, coin packs, XP, and artifacts are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Billing, taxes, renewals, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. We use purchase status only to unlock features you paid for.
For refund questions, use the store you paid through, or email muhammadhasaanwork@gmail.com and we will point you to the correct process.
14. Advertising
Minoqtopus may show ads, including optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch in exchange for rewards such as coins.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information, IP address, advertising identifiers, and ad interaction data as described in Google's own policies. Where you have allowed personalized ads, AdMob may use this data to make ads more relevant to you.
You can limit ad personalization in your device settings (for example, "Limit Ad Tracking" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization") and in your Google account ad settings. Rewarded ads are always optional.
We publish app-ads.txt at minoqtopus.lovable.app/app-ads.txt as required for advertising transparency.
15. Links and other apps
The app may contain links to other sites or services. Their privacy practices are not covered by this policy.
16. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
If a change is important, we will show it in the app or by email where we have a working address. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised policy.
17. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Pakistan.
Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Pakistan, unless a store platform or applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
